  wow, what a great book.

  i started reading it today and have not been able stop.

  ...and yet Ray Franz was still a human being, with human failings and human weaknesses.

  For example, in spite of his prominent position in the Watchtower Bible & Tract Society, he claimed to have NO KNOWLEDGE of the pedophile issue within the WTB&TS, none. Hell, I was only a Ministerial Servant in the Middle Village congregation in Queens NY, in the early 1970s and I knew of a pedophile in that congregation! Yet, ten years later, a "member of the Governing Body of Jehovah's Witnesses" has NO KNOWLEDGE of the issue.

  I find that impossible to believe, but I was never a member of Ray's fan club - I left the WTB&TS before he did and didn't feel I "needed" him for anything, historically or theologically.

  So - don't fall into the trap of HERO WORSHIP. If you feel compelled to worship a human, worship me in secrecy and in silence. I have been "present" aboard the invisible UADNA orbiting space platform since 1913 and will continue to watch over you, protect you, and provide un-dreamed-of wealth for those who keep faith with me.

  Rule #1 - Don't talk about the Unseen Apostate Directorate of North America (UADNA) or any of the blessings it has brought you. Do not point to the UADNA invisible orbiting space platform!

  Rule #2 - When you are "ripe" a UADNA operative will contact you.

  Rule #3 - Don't "push the river"! Those most eager to join UADNA are NOT READY! Keep rule #1!

  My worst nightmare, a speaking assignment last night. I've been OUT for 38 years!

  every five years or so i have this vivid and recurring dream, tho you'll probably surmise it's more of a nightmare.

  i learn somehow that i am scheduled for this theocratic ministry school speaking assignment, the instruction talk (do they still have those 15 minute drone-athons?).

  i become racked with tension knowing that i haven't even prepared for an assignment that is only 30 minutes away.

  Could you help me with a little Witness history ?

  as part of a student film project that i am completing i will be conducting a telephone interview with an exjw tomorrow.. the person i am interviewing was a witness between the years of the 50's (born in) - late 80's so obviously would have been in their late teens for the prophecies and events of 1975.. as this person is older than i, i am plan to tailor my questions around being a witness in that time period.

  i just wonder if you could point me in the direction of any more date specific events surrounding this time period that i could touch upon in my interview ?.

  A telephone interview fir a FILM project? ...I guess it would be a still-life - 30 minutes of a telephone on a desk; RIVETTING! At least your focus should be sharp...

  I was a dub kid in the late 50's... your interviewee may remember the book "From Paradise Lost to Paradise Regained," with its explicit illustrations of death and destruction as a result of Gd's righteous judgements. This was a book aimed primarily at KIDS, and the message was clearly "SAVE YOURSELF BY WORKS."

  Later came other fine Bible study aids, like "BABYLON THE GREAT HAS FALLEN - GOD'S KINGDOM RULES" and "THEN IS FINISHED THE MYSTERY OF GOD."

  In 1967 the book "Life Everlasting-in Freedom of the Sons of God" began the BIG count-down to 1975 (though other, earlier books pointed at the early 1970s but didn't make a big deal of it). In 1968 the emphasis was on the "life-saving" door-to-door witnessing work, and special instructions were provided that if a new bible student did not progress to baptism in 6 months, they were to be dropped and considered a waste of time, because Armageddon was closer than the inside of your eyelid!

  We also saw the emphasis on the sanctity of blood and the flip-flopping about whether organ transplants were permissible for God's people. We also learned that if a Christian was raped and did not scream, that Christian was a FORNICATOR, because no scream implies consent.

  Yes indeed, those were the days!

  Theocratic Warfare - Is it in writing?

  i'm just wondering if the theocratic warfare doctrine is anywhere in writing or if it's a word-of-mouth kind of thing where it's mentioned at elder's school, but not put in writing.. anyone?.

  ...but go ahead and make guesses about whether it was real and where the policy was delivered to the rank and file if FACTS aren't your cup of tea.

  JW.org Email Service - Now I've Seen EVERYTHING!!!

  maybe i'm late but i just discovered that elders now have an email service run on the jw.org domain name.. those emails might contain a treasure trove of very sensitive material regarding rape, molestation, pedophilia cases etc.. the cult keeps getting creepier and creepier.

  why would they do that in this day and age, lots of damning stuff in one place?.

  can anyone confirm they seem to be having disagreement writing dept and service dept some feel that df ok as long as you do not add wholesale across the board shunning regardless of the sin ..

  What will happen is this:

  MILLIONS of Jehovah's Witnesses, during their private Bible Study and prayerful contemplation, will be moved by Jehovah's Magic Spirit to conclude that shunning is wrong. Then the Brooklyn Organization (BORG) will place their imprimatur on this new light.

  Then, worldwide, the JWs who have shunned you and treated you like dog shit stuck to their shoes will contact YOU and expect that you will not tell them where and when and how hard to fuck themselves, because Jehovah's Witnesses are "NOT" mind-controlled robots and have "NEVER" practiced shunning.
